+1  I used to jump in all the time.  These days going forward?  Nope.  I am going back into my classroom and from there I will call the office to send help.  I can't believe I typed that but it is what it is.  My safety is important and we need those police officers in our schools.[/quote]

DP who also works in Special Ed. I think a lot of people will just dial 911. That's probably going to end worse than having SROs who at least get to know the kids. [/quote]
