Can the league afford to pay a living wage. NWSL is one of the lowest paid leagues. I really wonder if we lost talent this cycle by keeping such an old team. $150k will keep an 18 or 20 year old playing. $22k (to a high of $52k) is hard living. Let’s face it the younger players are going to be getting closer to $22k vs $52k. I do not know how long I would play for $22k a year and no shot at moving to the national team.[/quote]
