Well I read September - December timeline on 5-11 vaccines. I'm furious that my kid's teachers don't have to be vaccinated. And I'm also upset that workers in a hospital don't have to be vaccinated! I'm 38 weeks pregnant and my infant will have a heart issue. I don't want anyone around us in the hospital who is unvaccinated. I feel like I should have the ability to know and request only vaccinated health care workers around myself and my medically fragile infant.
Can't you delivery someplace else? I know 38 weeks isn't a time people want to switch drs/hospitals but honestly this is a pretty big reason that I would. You don't even need a dr. at your new hospital of choice - you can pretty much just show up. In case you need it Ashish Jha (dean of Brown's med school) just put up a link via his twitter in the last hr or 2 with a listing of all the hospitals nationwide that are requiring vaccines for all employees. There are MANY on the east coast.
Thank you for posting this. I see Inova Alexandria is on there- I'm giving birth at another Inova, so hopefully they do have a vaccine mandate. I actually googled it this week and couldn't find anything on my hospital.
