Yeah I think the PPs are just looking at the businesses and saying "But but but Le Dip! Framebridge! Salt & Sundry! Barcelona! 1.4 million dollar row houses! Glass walled condos!" and not realizing that there are absolutely historically problematic blocks of housing there...right in the middle of it. Conflict can occur anywhere, and often it comes out when neighborhoods intensify the have/have not vibe. That plus summer....bad recipe.[/quote]

“Conflict can occur anywhere?” “Can?” Maybe. Does it? No. The question that was being debated on the real estate forum, before this incident occurred, is how long people will be paying $1.4 million for row houses where this happens.

In the 90’s, I lived at 18th and S, and I never went east of 16th Street. Then the neighborhood got “safe” and people started paying a fortune for row houses. How great is that “walk score” when you can’t safely go out after dark? [/quote]
