We buy rice in 5Kg packages ;) DH loves sushi, unfortunately I'm allergic to some ingredient in it. We eat it for lunch and dinner 5 days a week and a pirex bowl and microwave works just fine. OP is just starting it so buying a small appiance just to experiment is not necessary at all. [/quote] Well, I use a rice cooker and it saves me time.
