The Administration told parents of kids who got accepted that they only just got the names of the students who accepted late this week and are slowly processing their school reassignment in SIS or registering them if from outside of FCPS. As of yesterday 300 students had accepted and registered for their fall classes. That leaves a lot of kids who either haven't accepted yet or are going to decline but haven't hit the "no thanks" button yet. I would guess that the soonest waitlist kids would get offeres is late July..but I'm only guesssing.
The deadline for acceptance was July 7th which is over. They won’t wait for their acceptance anymore. Where did you get the 300 number from?
Pretty sure they just made this up. There is no way that the admissions office is giving this information out. [/quote} PP is simply wrong. What the email said was "Welcome to the Class of 2025" and had information on how to register with FCPS etc. It was primarily directed to students outside of Fairfax that had not had the opportunity to open accounts with FCPS and register. They asked us to register, show up next week with paperwork, but in the meantime put in a course request using a link and said "more than 300 students have already registered for classes." The course request is due next week.
I would expect somewhere in the neighborhood of 400-450 kids to accept their offers. TJ admissions will probably be very protective of the actual number, as they should.
I’m going with the over.
