Same rule in our house. I always knock on their door too before entering.there is no barging into bathrooms or bedrooms.[/quote]

Pretty much all of these boundaries are a good thing. They exist within families and within society for a reason.  I have lived with people and dated people who were raised with the "communal " mindset, and I firmly agree these things need to be taught early.[/quote]
