As a Jew, I believe there is only one G-d. However, I do not recognize that deity to be Jesus, or Jesus to be that deity. I do not believe that G-d walked around on earth in human form for 33 years and then was "killed" and "reborn" or whatever the mythology is. I do not recognize my deity in the stories that are told in the so-called Christian Bible. I don't know if that is helpful to you, OP.
Nice welcoming tolerant post.
How is that intolerant? If she believed Jesus was a deity, she would be Christian, not Jewish.
The mocking language: "whatever the mythology is" and "the so-called Christian bible". What's wrong with just distinguishing between the Christian and Jewish Bibles, because there's nothing "so-called" about either of them, they are what they are. If you want respect, you have to give respect. I'm guessing that anything this disrespectful about Judaism would send her shrieking about anti-semitism or Hitler. So why not treat others how you'd like to be treated yourself. And it's Hindu, unless we're in colonial Britain. This is a fascinating subject, but probably impossible to discuss on DCUM. OP actually seems sincere. Too bad a few posters have already been abusive. It was ever thus.
