I mean, this is a crazy person thing to do. Is she showing signs of cognitive impairment or is she just strange and rude as a person?
Just strange and kind of toxic. We don’t have a bad relationship, I seriously do everything for her. I am incredibly inclusive of her because she’s single and if I didn’t make the effort my husband wouldn’t even think to include her except maybe once a month. I invite her for every holiday, she is lower income so I buy her a lot of clothes and home furnishings, etc. I did all the applications for her rental and guarantor paperwork. I definitely treat her very, very well.
It sounds like you’ve been really kind and, if this doesn’t seem out of character, she does sound toxic. What was your husbands take on the situation? If I were you I would continue to be polite and respectful but would definitely not be going above and beyond to help her out with things. Personally, I’d feel intentionally disrespected.
