actually the police apparently publicly pursued the "gang" theory to keep the husband unaware that he was the prime suspect. the robbery looked staged to the police and they found quickly two damning pieces of evidence. the woman had a fitbit-like device that showed normal heart rate, then a sudden burst of activity and then no heartbeat, and this almost two hours before the alleged robbery. so she was already dead by the time the husband said the robbery happened. second, the guy walked up and down the house staging the robbery for more than one hour and his phone recorded him walking around the house all over at the time he told the police he was tied up. also, victim and husband had a heated argument lasting hours over text right to the moment he went upstairs and killed. she had also tried during the night to book a hotel for herself and the daughter. so a little too much of a coincidence that you have a gigantic argument with your wife texting all kinds of insult and says she wants a divorce and then the security camera goes dark and a gang on killers comes in and kills her but you dont have a scratch. apparently the police suspected him right away but took its time to build the evidence[/quote]
