If you are wondering about the accuracy of the scale, choose something like a bag of rice, flour, sugar, cat litter, etc, or a few cans of something -- anything with a marked weight on it. Then double that by adding another bag or the same number of cans. Was it accurate the first time? Did it go up by the right amount? Then she scale is good. ----- I agree that there are so many regular fluctuations that it is best to measure weekly.
I actually disagree. if you only weigh weekly you may weigh on a day where the scale has fluctuated up a pound or even 2. This often causes people to get discourage and think what they are doing isn't working. If you weigh daily, over time, you get use to these fluctuations and see them as no big deal. Tracking the overall trend over time is a much better way to determine if that you are doing is working.
Yes weigh daily, same time every morning ( before anything eaten after bathroom) gives you the best picture. I also do it completely naked, since my scale is in between toilet and the shower. Daily reading give me the better picture where I am. And I don't really stress about individual numbers, I look where the smoothing trend in the app is going. Flat or declining - I'm good, pointing up - have to adjust something in my diet/routine.
