I don't want to be a teacher in a preschool classroom, unable to tell a parent that their child is a spoiled brat and I refuse to teach them anymore.  I refuse to bang my head against the wall and keep trying day after day to cram a tiny bit of critical thinking into the brain of an elementary age child who doesn't want to learn and thinks they don't have to because they "don't have to listen to anyone but Mommy."  (Yes, I listened to a parent tell their child that...)  Most of all, I don't want to end up in a hospital like my friend who had a second grade student (mainstreamed, shouldn't have been in her classroom) throw a chair at her hard enough to break bones.

However, while I disagree with the language, I think that you should think about who your nanny is before asking.  If she's single, no children, no pets and you think she'd be open to it, then ask.  If she's got her own family, ask if your child can go to her house or ask your friends or relatives, or just pay a babysitter.[/quote]
