Because TJ is heavily Asian and low FARMS and they pretend to care about equity, although the hypocrisy from members like Karen Corbett Sanders and Elaine Tholen couldn't be more blatant.

There are a lot of lower middle class Asian immigrants. Their parents work and do not earn a lot but don’t qualify for free lunch. I hate how free lunch is the benchmark. Just because you can afford to feed your family doesn’t mean you are rich.[/quote]

How the TJ is number one  in US News ? It is 18th place in Science Olympiad 2021 ..

The top TJ Science and technology HS could not get number one rank in any Science event in the Olympiad ... is TJ super overrated ?

One of the fun things about TJ is that kids who will be all about some of these ECs in order to get into TJ don't necessarily stick with them once they get there. Or they move on to bigger and better things.

They're national competitions. TJ is pretty dominant among the entrants in this area in those competitions.[/quote]
