Should be at Phase 2 this week, we’re at 56% first shot and we need to get to 60%.  Likely be in Phase 3 before the first meet, we’re at 42% fully vaxed and need to get to 50%.  With the expansion to 12-15 that should provide a near-term boost to the vax numbers to get us over the hump.[/quote]
Last week Elrich said they were going to start using the CDCs numbers to calculate the percent of county residents that have been vaccinated because the way MoCo does it misses people like myself and DH, who were both vaccinated in DC through our jobs. According to the CDC, as of yesterday 47.5% of the county has been fully vaccinated.[/quote]

I can live with no spectators, but the kids (even unvaccinated) do not need to sit 6 feet apart outside with masks on.  Schools (inside) are now using 3 feet apart.  Why on earth do we need to be 6 feet apart outside?  I was going to add that kids should be able to come in and out, but I changed my mind.  I have two teens, one of whom is a coach-- I can't imagine how difficult and scary it will be to try to keep track of dozens of 10&U  kids if they are coming and going. The staffing for the coaches allowed is very lean, it would be a nightmare if kids were coming and going to the parking lot.  Not worrisome to me because of COVID, but because of possible logistics and possible pedestrian/car accidents . [/quote]
