The problem is, even though kids generally have mild cases when they get Covid, my kids are still in childcare. So if they test positive or are exposed they are home for two weeks and one of us can't work. It's not a huge issue in the immediate term for us because our family is all elsewhere and 75% of the adults are vaccinated at this point. The holdout is DH's sister and her family, all of whom are eligible now. We have tentative plans to see them later in the summer (for a weekend get-together). The teenagers apparently really want the vaccine so maybe it will be a non-issue by then, but DH is planning to ask her what their plans are and that we may need to re-evaluate if they don't get it. It would be one thing if they were living cautiously, but they're flying around everywhere and living their best life. Are they going to come take care of our kids for two weeks if they give them covid? Doubtful.[/quote] So do it for others means do it so you can work and keep your kids in childcare?[/quote]
