Travel is one of my hobbies as well and while I've missed doing it this year, I've actually kept up my hobby specifically because, as you note, I love the research/planning/dreaming phase. One think my DH and I have done this year is make a list of all the places we want to go when we can, and I've started planning several of those trips. As travel restrictions lift and the opportunities arise, we're going to start going. We're already planning some little trips this summer now that we're vaccinated, to places where we can travel by car. And then we'll add more.

I just mention this because it surprised me how much I was able to get out of just researching and thinking about travel in the last year even though we couldn't go. I made me realize how much the planning aspect of it is genuinely pleasurable for me.[/quote]
