PP here. Totally get it. I'm a ginger using tretinoin and so far, I feel like the Cerave even though just SPF 30 somehow gives me better protection. EltaMD, I would still get pink and feel a bit burnt. So far, with the Cerave I'm my normal ghostly pale with no freckle increase. It does feel a tad bit thicker, which may be why? We'll see, of course, how that goes into summer! [/quote]

Huh?  Why wouldn't it have enough UVA protection? It is labeled broad-spectrum protection and has a seal/endorsement from The Skin Cancer Foundation on it.  Plenty of derms recommend it too.  Not saying you are wrong, just what leads you to say it isn't "enough" protection.  Im fair skinned and spend a lot of time at the beach (though northern state) and have never had issues burning on my face when using as re-applying as needed.  How do you know if a sunscreen has enough protection?[/quote]
