FCPS ought to take a look at whether IB has turned out to be a net negative at the lower-ranked schools, but it never admits failure so it won't conduct a retrospective review like any well-managed business would. Instead, the most they've done to acknowledge that maybe it hasn't worked out as planned is to stop converting AP high/secondary schools to IB and opening the newer high schools (Westfield, South County) as AP schools.
