Curious if anyone knows if there will be cicadas emerging near Kent Island this year? I have a friend getting married in Stevensville and her wedding is outdoors!
Omg I would be so upset to have a wedding surrounded by millions of cicadas. Shudders.
There won’t be millions of cicadas anywhere. Have you people not be around the cicadas before? There aren’t millions or even thousands or hundreds at any given moment in any given space.
I have read there are a million per acre. I would Google and post but I don’t want to look at images of cicadas. I wish I was wrong. Really dreading them.
But have you lived through it before? I’ve been in the dc metro area and traveled to the local beaches each time we’ve had cicadas in the last nearly 50 years. It’s no big deal. My husband grew up in another part of the country and only was around cicadas the last time around. It was a freaky experience for him presumably since he had never experienced it before. I promise it’s no big deal. You might see anywhere from a handful to a dozen as you walk from your door to your car. That’s the most you’ll see walking to your car during the peak. They die quickly.
