They've taken the first steps to end TAG & they are dumbing down the regular curriculum again so maybe reverse those.
Wait what? Can you tell me more about ending TAG?
Listen to an ACPS TAG meeting sometime. They just hired a few person from Fairfax to oversee the program. They connected the TAG program to TC Williams. And since its genesis is racist, that is a reason for it to go. It doesn't support the ACPS view of equity. And ACPS jumped on VA's plan to do away with math acceleration and recently announced that they won't be doing math differentiation (aka TAG) in the fall. If you have a really young kid (preK, K, first or second), don't count on TAG existing in a few years.
Fckkk, my child is starting K this fall. TAG was the only reason we were planning to do ACPS.
There isn't TAG or any real differentiation in kinder so you should be ok for the coming school year.
But what about after that?
