Did the mom even begin to think if her kid got cancer she would be living at the hospital for days on end. who is going to watch the other children ? and yes, you always worry a child can have an accident or illness when you have them...but she KNEW it was a death sentence and still had kids...Thats like saying " well, my kids cant swim but Im gonna home school them on a boat trip around the world "..why put them in that predicament ? cps needs to be involved...I am surprised the hospital did not teach her the dangers of having more kids. I think one day they all will drive off a cliff someplace in Ca and kill them all because their dream life did not work out
That’s the thing they brought up a couple episodes ago. They knew the dangers of their children inheriting the gene even before they had children. Her husband inherited it from his mother. The fact that they had their first child, who was tested for the gene and tested positive, and then went on to have so many more freaking children after that, is completely reckless and horrible. Her party line was that she just trusted God not to make her kids sick and they would get through it. Yet, here she is having lost her husband and father of her children and now dealing with four of her kids who will almost 100% get cancer in their lifetimes. What they could have done is IVF and an egg retrieval with embryo testing where they could have chosen only embryos that did not have the gene included. Then they could’ve had their millions of kids who would not face nearly certain premature death. She seems like a straight up psycho to me. She is laser focused on Spencer and family 2.0 and doesn’t seem to give her first husband much thought or discussion. Maybe that’s her way of handling grief, but when I watch, she seems totally obsessed with him, and, I don’t know, between him crying about his first wife every episode and some of the ways he looks at Erica, I think he might have some buyers remorse.
