They are not walking it back. Anyone who read the first email carefully knew that the return was limited and based on each schools ability to meet the requirements.

"Starting the week of April 20, FCPS will:

Offer four days of in-person instruction to PreK-12 students whose families identified a preference for in-person instruction since fall and are already attending two-days in-person with consideration of the school’s capacity, staffing, and associated current level of community transmission.
    Contact families of students eligible to return under this scenario during the week of April 13.
    Expand bus transportation for those already attending in-person starting the week of April 20.

Individual schools will provide families/caregivers with additional details pertaining to these opportunities.

The transition will undoubtedly look somewhat different in every school and vary widely as each school has varying in-person attendance. There are also space and staffing challenges at each school, and in each classroom, and these are factors that impact the ability for each school to welcome back additional students to in-person opportunities.[/b]"

It was clear that this was not an automatic thing and that there were going to be schools, potentially classes, that would be handled differently. FCPS dumped this mess on the Principals.[/quote]
