Every person I have known on Xanax has become addicted to it/dependent on it.
I find it fanciful that you would know all the medications that all your acquaintances take. OP, if you know yourself to be an addictive person, take care, but I have used Xanax (and klonopin), my beloved angel of panic attacks, blood tests, and flying, off and on for five or six years and I lived to tell the tale. Actually, it's been almost a year since I needed to take any. Sometimes your brain needs to be reminded of how it can function without panic hormones. Habitual xanax use can cause paradoxical anger and aggression, however. I never took enough to experience it. Good luck!
