My senior this year with almost exactly the same stats and profile (but a better test score) has been waitlisted at UChicago, Northwestern, WashU and Emory so far, and we're fully expecting a waitlist from Vanderbilt tonight and a waitlist or rejection from Rice and Tufts tomorrow. (Interestingly, I noticed today that no one from our school -- a top private -- with a 3.75 or higher has gotten into Tufts in the last five years.) Our neighbor with a 4.0 and a perfect ACT from an area magnet was waitlisted at Case a couple years ago, but got into Brown (legacy), Duke and Vanderbilt.[/quote]
