I’ve sat in many an Adirondack chair, from high end ones in the many hundreds to low end in the >$100 range. Believe it or not, the most comfortable Adirondack chair I’ve ever sat in - for hours at a time reading in my yard, during pandemic lockdown last spring - is the Adams RealComfort Polypropylene chairs from Ace Hardware. Bonus they are only $25/each, come it lots of pretty colors with matching ottomans and side tables. Bonus at that price you won’t cry if they get stolen. Bonus unlike a real solid wood or plastic composite standard Adirondack style chair, these have lumbar support built into the design which makes them much more comfortable for sitting long stretches and no need for pillows.
Also laughing a bit at the DWR ones, because the most comfortable ones I’ve ever owned were from Giant. Yes, the ones outside the grocery store.
I have 8 of these. They are twenty bucks a pop. Super comfy, all weather, great color options. It’s silly to pay more just because you can
We had these at our old house and they are totally comfy and hold up (will blow around with big winds though). Our red ones faded a bit too. That said, they do look kind of cheap so if you are going for an outdoor room that’s all designed I get wanting a sturdier look.
