The Browns seem more dysfunctional than ever right now. They were so much better off in Vegas, but they ahead and blew up their lives and their kids' lives to move to Flagstaff. Now, they all seem more miserable than ever and none of them can agree on anything. For a plural family, they really want very little to do with each other. I was so disturbed when Christine's children were basically begging her to not move them again, but she's decided to talk to Cody about moving back to Utah anyway because that's what she wants. Meri has one grown daughter and no real interest in any of the wives' or their younger children. Unlike any of the other wives, She is in the empty-nester stage where she can actually have some time for herself now and explore her own interests. She has no sexual relationship with Cody and he has said he is ready to wash his hands of her. She is so miserable that she just sucks all of the energy out of the room. She is probably afraid to be truly on her own because she knows nothing else, but... Damn woman, run. Move to Utah, get a man who actually likes you, and run your bed and breakfast, or anything else you want to do.
Wouldn't you be miserable if your husband fake married three women after you, had many kids, whom you are expected to contribute to and then divorced you for a new wife.
Of course, but at a certain point, Meri has to take responsibility for her own happiness. Meri and Cody's relationship is dead. There is so much animosity and contempt in their relationship. Way too much to overcome at this point. Cody still gets his physical and emotional needs met from his other relationships, but Meri doesn't and she can't get a hall pass either. Cody isn't going to force her out so Meri needs to recognize her part in staying in this miserable situation and instead of just complaining or being miserable about it, which is what she has done for years, she needs to finally do something about it.
