As someone who dealt with a similar situation before, OP may have to nip it in the bud early on. My former boss was just like this. I had a good opportunity to let management know I would not tolerate the way she was treating me but I let it slip by thinking it was a one-off. Plus, I was confident I'd land a new job within a month or two anyway, so why bother opening a can of worms. Get out on good terms, right? Well, the pandemic came, she told management a bunch of lies about me, had me cut out of projects, and roped the top manager of our section into her efforts to bully me. I was isolated from the team. And you know what? I was a competent, dedicated staffer. I went above and beyond and had terrific reviews.

It took nearly a year to get out of there. I ended up leaving on bad terms and it was all because of her. I did not have to be that way. I should have acted sooner to save relationships and be able to keep a job I was good at.

So, I don't know. It's better to leave ASAP if there are good opportunities to go to. That's what I planned, but the pandemic economy had other plans. [/quote]
