Diversify.[/quote] Yeah - American Funds plans are way too expensive. 5% load is just plain greedy. I actually went with Maryland's 529 Plan which is with T Rowe Price and is so much more cheaper and just as well managed. In addition, I dont want my kids to go to any VA schools ( there are limited private sector jobs in VA) - much better to go to places like NYC, Chicago, Boston, LA, SF or even Dallas. So Pre-Paid was not something I considered.[/quote]
