Note to ACPS HR. No one is going to come racing over to ACPS because of your post here. Teachers know what's what.
Oh please - I have been at ACPS 8 years and there is nothing glaringly horrible that I have experienced. I actually think ACPS has been the most teacher friendly of any of the districts in the Pandemic. I have close friends in APS and DCPS.
+1 Very teacher friendly. You only need to run at most two 50 minute zoom classes per day (Mondays are off). You can cancel class anytime without any consequences. You don’t have to go back to the classroom (you can teach from wherever), but they will still get you vaccinated. They don’t care if your class has an increasingly high percentage of failing children. It’s kind of the perfect set up. You are required to do one thing. You must rage against everything you perceive as wrong and argue that there is some equity imbalance that needs addressing. As has been discussed earlier, it’s a great place to work (employees are way more important than the kids) it’s just suggested that you shouldn’t enroll your kids in ACPS. Most of ACPS leadership finds private school a better choice. If they ask you why your kids are going to private school, tell them to stop bullying you.
Can you go back to your own threads for teacher bashing? Thanks!
