The Page Act of 1875 is the first act restricting immigration. How long had we been a nation? Almost 100 years. So if your ancestors came here before 1875, there probably is little documentation on them and nothing that states they were authorized to come here.  Why don't you look at the history of immigration?
The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 was an explicitly race-based immigration act. Let's here it for racism!
The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (or McCarran-Walter Act) somewhat liberalized immigration from Asia, but increased the power of the government to deport illegal immigrants suspected of Communist sympathies. 
The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 (or Hart-Cellar Act) discontinued quotas based on national origin, while preference was given to those who have U.S. relatives. [b]For the first time Mexican immigration was restricted[/b].

Also look at other devloped nations and how they handle migration. There are certainly many nations with harsher laws than ours, but Austria, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Greece, Canada, New Zealand, Denmark and the Netherlands have less restrictive laws. The only nation on this list with a lower standard of living than the US is Greece.

You need to become a little more educated on immigration before you continue your tirade.
