We had quite a few members in our extended family who went to Dr. Albert, as well as friends who went to him. And he was recommended to us by our outstanding and highly regarded Primary Care Physician. 1. It is important to point out that whenever one is concerned about a physician being involved in something "wrong", the best place to check is on the Virginia Board of Medicine website. If you look up his license now, he is in good standing, and there are no complaints. And he has been practicing for over 40 years - so I would say that is a pretty good record. 2. I also just checked on the INOVA.org website, and it appears that he has new contact info, which I had also heard from some family members. Furthermore, he would not still having privileges at INOVA Hospital if there were anything "unethical" going on. From the INOVA website, it appears that he is seeing patients at this address. I suggest you call the number below if you want an appointment. Moses Albert MD 25600 Old Hundred Rd Dickerson, MD 20842 tel: 240-505-5155 3. He is the past Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at INOVA, so his credentials are without a doubt the best. 4. Let me say that among the 6 or 7 people that I know that went to Dr Albert, we all think that he is fabulous! He solved, or was in the process of treating a problem for every one of us. We all have different issues, at different levels of severity. And not one of us has a complaint with him, or with his bedside manners. 5. His staff is another story altogether. They had serious problems constantly, and he was always taking the brunt of the blame on online reviews for messed up office issues. In the reviews you can find one review after another where patients talk about going to Dr. Moses for decades! If you read the reviews, almost without exception, the complaints have to do with long waits, and messed up appointments or rude staff. They sent my young daughter away one day (who arrived alone), because they said she had arrived without an insurance card!! Even though she had a picture of it on her phone, they would not allow her to stay for an appointment. When I told the doctor what had happened, he was furious that they had sent her away! 6. The entire thing was handled terribly by Forefront Dermatology. They never notified me, or the others I know. One member of our family found out literally when she showed up for her appointment WITH Dr. Albert! She was told she would be seeing someone else! She saw one of the other doctors, and said that she did not even come CLOSE to having the knowledge, skill or confidence that Dr. Albert did. 7. And yes, as someone else mentioned, he also mentioned to us the dozens of trips he has made overseas to help the orphanages that he himself founded in various countries! As for our family, we will either be going to see him in Maryland, or waiting further news to see if he will be setting up another office in VA. Or, we will find another Dermatologist in the VA area. Forefront Dermatology has been completely inappropriate/unethical in the comments they have made to many patients. I hope this sheds a little light on the subject to however many are in this conversation.
