He did! It just was an odd thing to be a longtime elected official, the only black elected official and then to move outside of the jurisdiction. [/quote]

Why is that odd? He and his partner found a house they wanted and it was outside the 2.2 square foot City of Falls Church.

I think the abuse the school board has taken on the renaming process and school closures has taken a toll. They were getting crazy death threats by people not even from Falls Church over the school renaming debate. These are NOT professional politicians. This is more like community service. It's not surprising someone wanted to step down and get out of that mess.[/quote]
