So create topics about your school system and people will engage. My kid is in APS so I have no questions about nor answers for Alexandria, Falls Church City, Loudoun, etc. I personally didn't think that Fairfax needed a separate forum AND AAP, but whatever. If Jeff finds the traffic supports it, that's his decision.
That's not really how Jeff decides. If you look at some of the newer forums, they just don't have much traffic. Traffic isn't a deciding issue, one way or the other. I don't like the split. If enough of us ask Jeff to undo the split and merge the Nova Schools Forum, he'll consider it.
I fail to see how this affects you in any way. Just read "recent topics" where they're all merged in (except explicit and politics). All a separate forum is is a tagging schema to help people focus in on what they're interested in.
I'm interested in the school issues that affect the Nova school districts, including the one my kids are in and the ones my friends' kids are in. Like OP, I feel fenced into one forum or the other, even though there are plenty of broad issues that could be discussed by parents in all of the school districts.
If it's really universal, put it in the general education forums. Again, most people read from "recent topics" and notice the headlines first.
Since you only read Recent Topics, I guess you aren't aware how different the issues are in the DCPS Schools forum or the MoCo Schools forum (or the not very active Rest of MD Schools forum). In that case, your response is unhelpful.
No, I still see the titles of all the posts, and I click on interesting ones regardless of the school district. I just don’t throw in my two cents if it’s something MCPS or DCPS specific.
