Hyde Park. Especially if you have the money to buy one of those gorgeous bungalows.
What if you love Hyde Park but also don’t have the money to buy a gorgeous bungalow but don’t want to go to the retiree park with a double wide?
Look, I don't mean to be offensive - but what the heck kind of stupid question is that? Tampa Bay is one of the fastest growing areas in the country. People of all sorts of means are moving here - yes, here, I live in St Pete; happy transplant from DC - and there's every kind of living situation you could want. What's your budget? What sort of house are you looking for? Frankly you sound more like a gated community sort of person than a city or neighborhood sort of person, so maybe just start by googling "gated communities Hillsborough County" to see what appeals to you. Hopefully you can spend your way out of a double wide. And by the way, before you turn up your noses at people in trailer parks - they are poor, you know? They'd rather live somewhere fancier, too. They'd prefer not to rent space in cheap plots of land that floor and are vulnerable to hurricanes, same as you - they aren't fortunate enough to have your means. Try not to bring that a-hole attitude to Florida, if you can manage.
