What's the weirdest thing about all these "associations with" things is that literally no one even knows the backstory on this stuff until someone digs it up and amplifies it and gets everyone all riled up about an issue that wasn't even an issue before you picked at the scab to "educate" everyone to be outraged. Hey I get that no one wants to attend Ted Bundy High School or Hitler University. But Westover is so benign as to not even be distinguishable from a name like Eastman or Northside. Westover is literally a random street name as far as most of the population of Western Civilization is concerned. Pretty sure there's a Westover Street in every Anytown,USA.

And so what if you dig around and find out that Westover is *also* the name of some plantation that had a random descendant who once upon a time opposed school integration?

Know who else opposed Department of Education's imposing school integration via busing a LONG time ago??? Our Democrat President, Joe Biden.

Things change. No one literally thinks anyone going to that school or living in Arlington or sitting on the APS school board thinks that naming the school "Westover" would signal support for segregation, any more than they think voting for Joe Biden does. It's ridiculous.
