She also didn't state that she hasn't researched the local housing market. OP, life is too short to live someplace where you're unhappy. Since your DH isn't happy with where you are, and since your jobs are portable, you should look into moving. Research the cities that you might want to live in. Apply to the schools if you're allowed to do so from out of state. If you haven't been to the city ever or recently, then plan a visit. [/quote]
