This is a direct quote from the MCPS communication on 2/9 addressing misconceptions about RTS:
"Misconception #2: Principals are “choosing” only one instructional approach within a school building.

FACT—Students will experience multiple instructional approaches in a day."

If you principal is announcing one approach in the school building, I would direct them to the MCPS communication and/or escalate to the Superintendent.[/quote]

FACT--the MCPS communication on 2/9 was basically full of untruths.  There will not be extra time for reteaching, social groups, and extra interventions.  Unless the school is choosing to reassign students to different teachers, one teacher will be responsible for teaching a class of both in person and virtual students at the same time.

That said, some grade levels may have chosen different models than other grade levels within the same school.  Or, all the grade levels may have chosen the same model.[/quote]

The only time I can think of for reteaching or small groups is during the 90-minute wellness break or if you're in secondary the hour or hour and a half that you're going to be sitting around in school before virtual learning begins[/quote]
