There's nothing wrong with Thomas Johnson.  Compared to other schools in Frederick County, it has more black kids.  Unfortunately, even in 2021, this makes the school less appealing to some. It's a fine school.[/quote]

PP and I'm white.  Sorry, maybe I'm sensitive, but when Frederick County schools are discussed, Frederick, Tuscarora and Thomas Johnson are always labeled as the schools/districts to avoid.  These are the most ethnically diverse schools in the county, so it strikes me as more than a coincidence that these are always labeled the "bad schools." [/quote]
