Most of the (BLANK) Bible may trend heavily conservative/uptight/"judgy", though. Also, most of the active members of any church, from the snake handlingest of Signs Following churches to the rogue parishes the Episcopals kicked out for being too damned liberal will be about serving God and fellowship.

Arlington Church of Christ may be an interesting fit for you. Bible based, no music (all a cappella singing), good people -- but more liberal than other Churches of Christ. I even believe one of the elders is a Democrat!

I agree!  Only my particular splinter sect knows just the right mix of Bible passages to interpret *literally*, and which to discard as "not really what Jesus meant".  Everyone else is going to Hell.[/quote]
