I’m a HS teacher. I don’t have specials. Sure it was fun to teach in sweats for a few weeks, but I hate DL. It is really hard to connect with kids and the best parts of my job - the casual conversation between periods, when they come to my room for lunch, seeing them at their sports practices and games - are fine for now. I meant gone for now. Definitely not fine. And yes to the PP who said they are starting to get depressed - I feel like nothing I am doing this year matters for my students. Doing the best I can to help them socialize and feel like somebody’s listening, but definitely don’t feel like I’m making a difference academically. [/quote]
