Uh, he's been placed on leave, so apparently public school isn't quite the "anything goes" circus you imagine.  If he was, in fact, in the Capitol Building or otherwise participated in the storming of it, he committed a crime in the course of attempting sedition, and he should be fired.

Um, please let us know the last time we heard of a Liberal public school teacher getting fired for similar activity on school time. Oh wait, that just doesn’t happen.[/quote

You're joking, right?  Until very recently, a public school teacher could be fired just for being gay, and they often were.  Even 20 years ago, getting pregnant and not being married got women fired from teaching jobs.  But I guess you were ok with that kind of thing.[/quote]
