Yes, if you carry a camelback and hiking stick and the full 10 essentials for a 1-hr hike in rock creek park, you will look dumb. But the whole "athleisure" category has really expanded so that there are a lot of options for comfortable and fashionable outdoor wear. What else is OP going to spend her clothing budget on right now? A really nice set of baselayer and great shell will last her a long time. [/quote]
