Nothing amusing here...more details are going to come out about who they planned to take as hostages, etc. The Capitol police may not have been able to keep people out of the building, but they did protect the members. The whole thing could have been much worse.

Well...several members have talked about how they sheltered in place for hours on end, at times with insurrectionists trying to break down the doors, and no one ever checked on them or ensured their safety. They literally had to come out and see if the coast was clear. No communication from Capitol Police, and certainly no protection during the occupation. [/quote]
