OP, I have always had fine and very greasy hair AND mild sensory issues (I have ADHD and a lot in common w/autistic people) that make me want to avoid hair washing and drying. Add to that! I actually care a lot about how I look and tend to dress and do my makeup to the nines, so there's literally always been a ton of stress for me around the whole situation. Exactly one (1) product has ever allowed me to go up to 3 days without shampooing, and it is the Lush Jumping Juniper shampoo bar. I discovered it only maybe 5 years ago, but would have killed for it as a teen, especially. I tolerate hair washing fine now, though it's definitely not my favorite activity... but as a teen I pushed it off to maybe 2x/week and without the Lush bar, my hair often looked awful. It's spendy but does last a long time. If I ever find a cheaper substitute, I'll go for that, but even then I'd probably only save $10-20 a year, so I'm fine with it. Literally the only product that adds life to my hair... without it, my hair looks nice for 24 hours, then okay the next 24, and after that, a grease pit. With the bar, I get two full days of nice hair and a third where it looks presentable. I'm so glad I don't have to wash my hair every day, and I would have never gone for that as a kid.
