My DD was a Little Dragon for one year. I think we drew the short straw on teachers. The assistant teacher was great, but the main one we had was lazy and disorganized. I wish we had the other classrooms teachers, they were great too. I liked the program and the building was old but had a lot of great resources. I loved that they gave the preschoolers specials like art class in the studio and gym in the gymnasium. They went outside almost every day, too.
Thanks! I like the outdoor aspect as well and the campus seems very serene. To your memory, in addition to art and gym, did they do science-y special classes. Did you pull your DD out because of the bad teacher experience?
I belive it was art class one day, music another, gym twice in one week and the library the 5th day. They did some science-y experiments in class with the teacher and lots of nature walks that were science-based exploration. The campus is beautiful and they do a good job of including the Little Dragons in the school-wide functions.
Me again, sorry I ignored your last question. I did not pull DD out because of the teacher. At the time we intended to have both children attend GCS indefinitely. It was a bit out of the way for us, but we were strongly considering moving closer to the school for various reasons. Then I became unexpectedly pregnant with our third. Putting three children through GCS wasn't possible so we decided to pivot and find a closer PK program before our second even started. The teacher wasn't terrible, maybe I just expected a lot for the cost/private school experience. The kids seemed to love her.
Thanks so much for this!
