Are there problems with this proposal that we haven't foreseen?"[/quote] +1. There's also the trust issue, as seen above -- some nannies will just take the extra money and use it for something else. If you treated your nanny as a member of the family, which she is, as she is raising your kids, then you would just talk to her like a trusted member of the family, and ask her what she thought about your concerns, and how she and you could work together to solve them. If money is the answer, then ask her how much she needs. Maybe $400 isn't enough.[/quote]
