I actually dont mind the PJs with snaps bc when changing a diaper I can open just the ones I need. I defin. like them better than ones that zip down from the top bc I think the baby gets cold when I have to open the whole top just to get at the diaper. The best IMO are the ones that zip from the bottom. Amid covid, we havent needed a 2nd carseat base bc we go out so little. I am v glad I didnt buy it in advance bc it would have gone to waste; you can always order if it becomes an issue. Remember regardless of how well you plan there will be things that you find yourself needing in a pinch. For me, it was items to manage breast feeding pain. These were the best: https://www.target.com/p/medela-tender-care-hydrogel-pads-4pk/-/A-10762139
Agree on the second carseat base. I'd go so far as to say in this COVID time, we didn't even need an infant carseat/travel system because we went so few places. I kind of wish we had just gotten the convertible car seat suitable for newborn stage. We've clipped our carseat into our stroller maybe a total of 10 times in 4 months, and majority of that for doctor's appointments. We just used the bassinet attachment or baby wore for walks in the newborn phase. I guess this doesn't matter because I'm hopeful someone registering now will not have quite the intense COVID experience when their baby is here in a few months with the vaccine rolling out and getting through winter.
Pp here, I agree about the travel system. I am starting to look at next phase car seats and all the options I like could have held DD as a newborn.
