You're not alone!  We have a huge water heater, and our bathroom is large and it is still so cold in the winter. A heated floor would help, but I really don't see the point of having lots of relatively unused space in the master bath.  I'd rather have a huge closet.

Also, definitely have the toilet in a separate water closet.  I don't get pp's objection to having no sink -- the sink is right outside the door of the WC.  If it really bothers you, just add another small sink. We just spent a lot of money to add a WC, as the people who built our massive bathroom somehow thought it was ok to plop the toilet down right down in between the shower and bathtub.

Think about where your closets are, as well. Our closets are off the corridor that leads to the bath, so before we built the WC, it was awkward to go into the closets when someone was using the bathroom. [/quote]
