We attended the girls’ tournament last weekend. While we enjoyed ourselves and appreciated having a tournament at all, there were opportunities: - Parents and kids warming up an hour before their game in the same small place as spectators watching the existing games. - Zero enforcement of parents on the sidelines, at times standing inches off the field. - Nets with holes in them leading to questions of whether a shot was a goal or came in through the side net. - Big drop off in ref quality vs the standard NCSL refs we get for league games (who are generally good). - Little to no tournament officials, and the ones who were there were teenagers playing on their phones the whole time. Oddly, it was not nearly as organized as the Alexandria tournament last month. [/quote]
