Shame on OP and her ilk. Posting this at a time when the nationwide surge has reached our area, local hospitals are getting full and healthcare professionals are once again feeling great strain. I feel utter disgust for people like you.
i feel utter disgust for people who post crap like this full of fear mongering and falsehoods. 1. Local hospitals- no where close to full, especially not with COVID patients. Right now there are slightly less than 1300 COVID patients hospitalized statewide. There are 7000 beds still available state wide. News Flash- prior to COVID hospitals operated at 90-100 capacity all the time, that's how they make money. We have never tried to say school shouldn't be open b/c hospitals are full. 258 COVID patients statewide in the ICU, 115 of those are on a ventilator. There are 2,936 ventilators available in VA. https://www.vhha.com/communications/virginia-hospital-covid-19-data-dashboard/ 2. Numbers in the area are on a 'gentle rise' according to Fairfax county, not a surge. 3. When masks are worn, as they are in school, COVID does not spread. COVID spreads when masks are taken off in indoor environments. Thus, there is no reason to keep kids out of school b/c of COVID. 4. We are talking FCCPS here- FCCPS has the best COVID numbers in the area.
